Here's a nice simple woodworking project to try over the weekend.  In this Creative Daddy Bear tutorial I'll show you how I made a tangram puzzle game.

Materials needed; 190 x 190 x 5 mm plywood or hardboard, 190 x 190 x 18 mm MDF, wood glue and seven different colours.

Tools needed; Bandsaw (any kind of saw will work), clamps, disc sander or just sandpaper (120 grit)

Here's a fun creative tutorial on how to make your own bedroom door name sign, theme around Despicable Me Minions.  If your kids are into the funny little stumpy yellow things then I'm sure they will love their own Minion style plaque/sign for their bedroom door, plus its really simple and fun to create.

Things you will need; 3/4 inch MDF for the main body, 1/2 inch MDF for the goggles, the printable minion templates, yellow and white acrylic paint, PVA glue, permanent marker pen, D hook and two screws.

Minecraft is an open sandbox game about braking and placing blocks.  The game is very popular with kids of all ages at the moment selling over 13 million copy's on PC alone.
If your kids are Minecraft fans why not drag them away from the game and get them to create their very own block head to wear as a mask.

There's a cool site called fps-x-games.com that offer a collection of Minecraft printable masks amongst other cool Minecraft activity's.  They also take request, so if you ask nicely you may be able to get your kids favourite Minecraft character made or even his or her character skin.
